With the annual junior carnival commencing in just one week, to make it easier for team managers and other officials to find everything they need on the website we have added some useful 'quicklinks' -
Update - Among clarifications advised by our Match Committee Chair at the 30 Dec pre-carnival meeting it should be noted that games are to conclude in accordance with rules 23, 24 and 25 as appropriate except that when reduced by interruption (weather and unforeseen circumstances) rule 9.7 applies. Essentially the team batting second is entitled to complete its innings even after passing their opposition's score unless the game is reduced by interruption in which case it is over as soon as a result is achieved.
Fixtures for all competitions are now on MyCricket. Please check and let us know asap if you find any typos.

Neil Wright Shield - Variation to Fixtures/Finals (posted 11 Dec '09)
Given the extremely unfortunate run of weather on game-days this season and the immanent threat of rain again for round-3 the VMCU board has announced the following changes to Wright Shield. These variations are made in an attempt, under trying circumstances, to produce meaningful ladders going into finals.
Tier-1:
Should round-3 achieve four results on 13 December, tier-1 will go into semi-finals and the final as scheduled on 10 and 31 January respectively. If less than four round-3 games achieve a result, those with no result will have their scores annulled and be replayed on 10 January. Ladders will then be complied with the top 2 going on to play in a Final on 31 January.
However, if there are no results achieved in round-3 (13 Dec), round-1 will be replayed on 10 January and ladders compiled with the top 2 playing a final on 31 January. Any scores from round-3 games will stand and count towards percentages.
Tier 2:
If two or more results are achieved in round-3 (13 Dec) then tier-2 will play a final on 10 January. Any other scenario on 13 December will see no further play in tier-2.There will be no promotion/relegation this season.
